What will you be doing?
The Complete Excellence Leader is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing an operational excellence program based on the Shingo Model and its principles. This role requires a deep understanding of lean management principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and the ability to effectively lead change within an organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Program Design:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Shingo Model and its principles.
- Design an operational excellence program tailored to the organization's specific needs and goals, incorporating elements of the Shingo Model.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead the deployment of the operational excellence program, including training sessions, workshops, and other educational initiatives.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote awareness and engagement with the program throughout the organization.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams and individuals involved in implementing program initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement based on the principles of the Shingo Model.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to analyze current processes, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and develop and implement solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the operational excellence program.
- Develop tracking mechanisms and reporting systems to monitor progress towards goals and objectives.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for further optimization.
- Proactively manage resistance to change by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide leadership and support to employees at all levels of the organization as they navigate through changes brought about by the operational excellence program.
- Communicate the benefits and impact of the program to stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, and customers.
- Develop and deliver training programs to build capability and knowledge of the Shingo Model and operational excellence principles.
- Coach and mentor employees at all levels on lean management techniques and tools.
- Encourage and facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the operational excellence program based on feedback, results, and evolving organizational needs.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in lean management and operational excellence.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in lean management or Six Sigma is desirable.
- Experience in line operations leadership and proven a ability to drive change in an organization.
- Experience in operational excellence, lean management, or process improvement roles is desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing operational excellence programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Adaptability and resilience in the face of ambiguity and change.
- Passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The starting salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000.
