Acentra is looking for a Business Operations, Principal to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The role of the Business Operations, Principal is to serve as an Operations leader and subject matter expert (SME) Medicaid Enterprise Services (MES) Fiscal Agent for Business Operations. This role involves assisting leadership by providing expert business operations knowledge, guidance, and leadership. This role is a member of the Operations team and reports directly to the MES Program Director.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Operations:

· Functions as an individual contributor to provide expert business operations advice and direction to the Operations and Technology teams and across Acentra

· Works on highly complex projects that require expert knowledge across all specialized business operations domains

· Provides expert guidance to enforce the completeness of business operations across the Acentra portfolio and teams

· Identifies areas for process improvement to improve quality and optimize cost

· Monitors the business operations models and updates as necessary to show changes, additions, and alterations

· Ensures that business operations strategies are in line with best practices and makes recommendations for continuous improvement

· Assists in leading the business operations governance and review process, working closely with the Operations leadership

· Works closely with cross-functional technical teams, providing expert guidance and support

· Ensures that the Business Operations team identifies risks and issues, escalates them to senior management, and assists in developing mitigation strategies

· Demonstrates expert knowledge of business operations methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that operational objectives are achieved

· Demonstrates in-depth business and technical knowledge of the development of all software applications for implementation

· Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for operations spending and initiatives, providing support to the budget process as needed

· Discovers and documents the customer’s business scenarios, leveraging expertise to ensure continuous improvement

· Conducts research and remains current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of procurement efforts

· Participates in the proposal process, develops operational content Requests for Proposal (RFP), evaluates solutions, and defines governance

· Provides customer support and leads customer operations solution sessions

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of Degree
  • 15+ years of business operations experience
  • 10 + years’ Experience in the healthcare operations industry
  • 10+ years’ Experience with Public Sector Healthcare programs
  • Deep knowledge of contract and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competition
  • Domain expertise of Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, or healthcare verticals
  • Ability to partner with senior management leadership team and cross-functional teams in implementation of major initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of service-level agreements (SLA)

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations.
  • Strong experience is vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of data protection law, such as HIPAA, PHI/PII
