Learning and Development Budget
We provide tuition reimbursement to our employees up to $2,500 a year for accredited courses that are relevant to their role.
Vision Insurance
Administered via VSP's Signature Network, the plan includes annual exams, new frames every 12 months, and lenses or contact lenses.
Life Insurance
Coverage (100% of your salary up to $115,000) begins on the first day of employment for eligible employees and is paid for by Bezos Academy.
Wellness Benefits
Bezos Academy provides employees access to an annual subscription of the full Headspace platform, including guided exercises, videos, and inspiration.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP through Guidance Resources is a no-cost benefit available to employees and their dependents, providing confidential support, resources, and information.
Miscellaneous
Access to a premium membership to the care.com platform to find childcare, senior caregivers, pet sitters and more. Also includes three backup care days a year.
Disability Insurance
Short & Long Term Disability coverage protects your income if you are out of work due to an illness. It provides you with 60% of your income up to a maximum benefit.
Dental Insurance
Administered via Delta Dental, with two PPO plan options (base and buy-up). Both cover preventative care at 100%, basic coverage at 80%, and major dental work at 50%.
401(k) Plan
Eligible to enroll on the first day of employment. Bezos Academy will match every dollar you contribute up to 4% of your earned compensation, and you are 100% vested immediately.
Paid Time Off
We believe in giving employees the paid time off needed to refresh and recoup. This includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, and 7 paid days of sick (care) time.
Flexible Working Hours
School schedules vary depending on community needs but generally range from 8am-5:30pm, with teachers staggered across these hours with varying start and end times totaling no more than 8 hours per day.
Paid Parental Leave
Bezos Academy provides delivering parents 12 weeks of 100% paid leave and an additional 4 pre-partum if medically necessary. For non-delivering and adoptive parents, employees are eligible for 6 weeks of 100% paid leave.
Medical Insurance
Nationwide medical coverage on your first day of employment. Coverage is partially paid by Bezos Academy (90% of your premium and 80% of your dependents'). Plans include a Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan.
