Senior Frontend Engineer

Babylon's mission is to bring Bitcoin’s unparalleled security to the decentralized world via a new public Cosmos-SDK PoS blockchain (Babylon) and a suite of inter-chain protocols.

In our quest to enhance our technological offerings, we're seeking a versatile Senior Frontend Engineer. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of contributing to our front-end development efforts and adapting to project needs as they evolve.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate and collect requirements across teams to develop high-performance front-end systems that bring the power of the Babylon blockchain to our users.

• Build intuitive, mobile-friendly, and user-centric front-end components and apps, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

• Work closely with designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, demonstrating flexibility and a keen ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

About You:

As a seasoned front-end engineer with a passion for blockchain technology, you are driven by the desire to make impactful contributions. With a solid foundation in front-end development and a commitment to excellence, you are open, accountable, and always ready to support your team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 4+ years experience of front-end engineering experience.

• Experience with web3 and blockchains, preferably Cosmos SDK and Bitcoin.

• Expertise in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.

• Experience working in open source software.

• Experience with styling using CSS frameworks.

• Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple simultaneous feature requests.

• Familiarity with design systems and tools like Figma and Sketch.

• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear and effective collaboration across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with Bitcoin and Cosmos SDK.

• Prior experience working in a remote, distributed team environment.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.

• Working knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
