As the Director, People Business Partner, you will act as a strategic partner to business and enterprise leaders at the SVP/VP level by helping to align people strategy with the strategy of the internal client group in support of the COO objectives. Through guidance and support to leaders and employees, the business partner adds value by helping the client group achieve peak productivity.

As the successful Director, People Business Partner, you will be a catalyst for positive business outcomes. Your strategic approach, supporting business leaders and collaborating with Centers of Excellence (COEs), will contribute to the business strategy by helping leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, structures, processes, and behaviors. This strategic approach leads to successful outcomes and value creation, making your role a key driver of our growth and success.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

The Business Partner must have a working knowledge of all the following disciplines to effectively broker talent, identify root causes of problems, and enable outperformance.

  • Talent Development

  • Succession Planning

  • Employee Engagement

  • Organizational Change

  • Organizational Design

  • Acquisition, Divestiture, and Integration of organizations

  • Talent Acquisition

  • Learning and Performance

  • Compensation

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Examples of the use of knowledge in the disciplines above would include:

  • Understand key business performance targets and their related talent implications.

  • Assist business leaders in providing employees with development opportunities aligned with current and future performance standards.

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to employees at all levels when appropriate.

  • Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends.

  • Work independently and collaboratively across the organization.

  • Understand and contribute to complex strategic issues.

  • Create, in collaboration with COEs, new organization designs, new compensation plans or packages, talent recruitment initiatives, behavioral change via new learning initiatives, improved bench strength and individual development plans for key positions, etc.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 6 years of Human Resource (HR) capacity, 2 of which should include the creation of people strategy and implementation for departments or functional areas.

  • Demonstration of strong collaboration skills.

  • Ability to communicate up, down, and across to various constituencies, both verbally and in writing.

  • Financial Acumen/Understanding of annual and long-term budgeting cycles.

  • Knowledge and experience in workforce planning, organization design, change management, performance management, project management, problem-solving, coaching, employee engagement, diversity, and compensation.

  • Experience with matrix management.

  • Data Analysis skills, including proficiency with Excel skills and the ability to use data to support.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • PHR/ SPHR or equivalent designation to demonstrate continuous learning and contemporary knowledge of HR law/compliance, policy, and process.

  • Experience in a company that is subject to a regulatory environment.

  • Experience managing others and managing a budget.

  • Experience outside of the HR function.

How much am I expected to travel?

  • Up to 10% travel

Pay Range:

$99,200.00 - $165,600.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
