This is an exciting time for Aptos in EMEA, with a strategic focus on growth and market expansion. As such, Aptos is on the hunt for an ambitious Director of Sales with experience in taking new products to market and entering new territories.

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for managing a team of UK-based SaaS and Professional Services sales executives. Balanced with the discipline for profitability, this sales organization must be aggressive in securing new logos while serving and expanding the company’s footprint at existing clients.

Essential Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a proven and sophisticated sales leader from an enterprise software company background servicing the retail industry. Aptos will require proven leadership of a recognized best-of-breed organization in a high-growth market/company where the competition will span start-up organizations to market giants such as SAP and Oracle.

  • Manage client relationships across all levels of the retail organization to broaden Aptos’s reach and to have a pulse of the customer, their initiatives, and business challenges.
  • Work with both direct and indirect channels to drive pipeline generation and execute deal strategies.
  • Work with all internal teams to break down silos and problem-solve for the customer.
  • Foster the customer relationship in support of:
  • Attendance and participation in Aptos customer events.
  • Enabling the use of the customer as a strong and repeatable reference in other new sales situations.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Aptos sales process, as well as product and service value propositions.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with the customer.
  • Keep current on products, services, and offerings to enable meaningful meetings and strategic planning with the accounts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of enterprise-level software technology sales, preferably in Retail markets and in SaaS.
  • Consultative Solution Selling Experience – Aptos product purchases can be priced in the seven figures; it is imperative for the candidate to have a strong commercial acumen and demonstrated success in value selling.
  • Leadership Presence- possess a collaborative and engaging style that promotes an open, team-oriented culture.
  • Proven track record of pursuing and closing large SaaS and Services transactions.
  • Demonstrated consistent success leading a sales team and meeting/exceeding achievement targets.
  • Ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Strong negotiation skills to create solid agreements.
  • Ability to establish strong inter-department relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of the retail industry and the value software solutions like Aptos’s suite of products, most importantly Point of Sale and Unified Commerce
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills.
