About AllShore Talent

AllShore Talent is a global leader in remote staffing, providing businesses with highly skilled professionals who work 100% remotely. We specialize in connecting organizations with top-tier talent across IT and software development, design, administrative support, digital marketing, and other key business functions. With a strong focus on quality and scalability, AllShore enables companies to seamlessly meet their operational and technical needs through expert remote resources.

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead a cross-functional Agile squad of 4–7 developers and QA specialists. In this mid-level role (3–4 years of experience), you will act as both facilitator and coach, enabling team self-organization, removing impediments, and driving predictable delivery through data-backed insights. You’ll cultivate a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, while maintaining accountability for progress, resource optimization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

This is a remote position combining traditional project management rigor with modern Agile leadership. You’ll fully facilitate Scrum ceremonies while also handling strategic aspects such as capacity planning, budget tracking, and risk documentation. Unlike roles limited to Agile frameworks or classic PM control, this position requires balancing team empowerment with hands-on management of scope, schedule, and financial constraints. You’ll operate with autonomy and partner with the Delivery Lead, Product Owner, and Technical Lead to ensure impactful outcomes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Agile Facilitation & Coaching

  • Independently lead all Scrum ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Coach the team on Agile principles, continuous improvement, and self-organization.

  • Foster psychological safety and mediate conflicts constructively.

2. Resource & Capacity Management

  • Plan and track team capacity and utilization (~80% sustainable workload).

  • Monitor availability and redistribute tasks to avoid overload.

  • Support cross-training and T-shaped skill development.

3. Risk Management

  • Identify and assess risks early and maintain an active risk register.

  • Develop mitigation plans collaboratively and communicate status clearly.

  • Adjust sprint commitments when needed based on risk impact.

4. Impediment Resolution & Escalation

  • Remove blockers within 24–48 hours, escalating effectively when required.

  • Track and optimize impediment resolution timelines.

5. Scope, Schedule & Budget Governance

  • Operate within the Agile triangle—fixed time and budget with flexible scope.

  • Protect sprint commitments from scope creep by ensuring proper backlog handling.

  • Monitor burn rate and provide clear budget and schedule updates.

6. Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track velocity, sprint outcomes, story completion rates, and team health.

  • Run data-led retrospectives and implement actionable improvements.

  • Maintain transparency through Scrum boards and sprint summaries.

7. Stakeholder Alignment

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner on backlog refinement and prioritization.

  • Provide progress updates and expectation management using sprint data.

  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters to address dependencies and scale Agile best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or similar.

  • 3–4 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.

  • Hands-on experience leading teams of 4–7 resources across full SDLC.

  • Strong expertise in Scrum facilitation, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and escalation.

  • Proficient in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).

  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, problem-solving, and servant leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes through data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Agile certifications (A-CSM, PSM II, CSP-SM).

  • Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Spotify model).

  • Technical understanding of software development or QA (coding not required).

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, TDD, and modern engineering practices.

  • Exposure to Kanban, Lean, XP or hybrid methodologies.

  • Experience managing remote/distributed teams and/or prior Product Owner exposure.

  • PMI-ACP or PMP certification is advantageous.

The story of Allshore Talent is a journey born from direct experience with the frustrations and untapped potential of the global talent market. It began with its founder, Randall Agee, who, while working as a development staffer, encountered a project that required skills beyond his team's capabilities. Turning to offshore outsourcing, he found a brilliant developer, but the process was fraught with communication barriers and procedural inefficiencies. The end product was a success, but the path to get there was a struggle. This firsthand experience sparked a vision: to create a different kind of outsourcing company, one that would eliminate the common pain points and build a bridge between talented professionals and businesses in need, fostering a seamless and productive partnership. This vision led to the creation of Allshore Virtual Staffing in 2009, a company built not just to provide a service, but to perfect the client experience he wished he'd had.

Over the years, the company grew, driven by its commitment to providing affordable, high-quality staffing solutions with an emphasis on transparency and direct communication. The model was simple yet revolutionary: give clients direct access to their developers, who would work during their business hours, and provide US-based customer support to facilitate smooth collaboration. This approach resonated with businesses tired of the traditional, often clunky, outsourcing models. In a significant evolution, Allshore Virtual Staffing merged with Zepcom and DatumSquare, two other firms with deep expertise in global workforce management and IT solutions. This union created Allshore Talent, a powerhouse with a broadened scope and a renewed mission. Now operating under the motto 'Locally Global,' the company leverages its US base to connect clients with a pre-vetted, worldwide pool of experts. From its headquarters in Kansas City and offices in Norman, Oklahoma, to its global service centers, Allshore Talent continues its journey to redefine global talent acquisition, making it easier than ever for businesses to build and manage international teams and for talented individuals across the globe to connect with incredible opportunities.
