Your dream role:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Infrastructure Engineer! This key role within the Infrastructure team is to be the subject matter expert in Infrastructure, to implement and manage all aspects of the infrastructure management across the Alexander Dennis group. This role will be working with the Cyber IT Security Manager to implement the correct processes and policies across the business.
Main responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing all aspects of IT technical services focusing on server and networking infrastructure globally.
- Manage all Infrastructure software within the scope of the infrastructure role.
- Implementation of OS/Application patching and the management and monitoring of IT Security solutions.
- Develop new processes with the Cyber IT Security manager to improve Cyber resilience.
- Implement security measures and operate software to protect systems and information within the infrastructure.
- Plan, manage and deliver small to medium projects and deliver to acceptable quality standards.
- Support any major incidents from an IT infrastructure perspective to return services to users in the least amount of time using most effective methodology.
- Manage the server patching levels and implement processes to enhance patch levels, utilising the appropriate tools and ensuring any machines not being at the appropriate levels, are addressed.
- Being able to identify, investigate, report, and resolve cyber related issues within the infrastructure.

Skills and Behaviours:
- Deep technical experience of the Microsoft stack within a large, complex organisation
- Proven Track record of driving Infrastructure enhancements and improve Cyber resilience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex scenarios to non-IT team members.
- Deep technical knowledge and experience within on-premise and cloud technologies
- Ability to complete projects with minimal/no supervision.
Experience:
- Full life-cycle implementation and management of Active Directory, MS-SQL, Citrix, Cisco switching, firewalls, DMZ, and cloud such as AWS/Azure would be an advantage.
- Experienced managing and implementing Microsoft Solution Architecture including MS Server 2016/2019, Virtualisation technologies, Microsoft 365 including Sharepoint services.
- Experienced in implementing and managing cloud services with production environments, specifically Azure and AWS.
- Working in a highly technical role within a large complex organisation
- Implementing Application and Patch Management solutions to ensure all infrastructure devices are aligned to the correct patch levels.
- Proven experience of issue identification, problem definition, solution identification and implementation
