  • Partner with People Ops and Security to align team practices with evolving company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Lead incident response for internal IT outages or major disruptions, coordinating timely communications and resolution.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure service delivery and inform improvements.
  • Evaluate and implement tools that improve internal IT processes and visibility, such as dashboards or ticketing enhancements.

Systems Administration & Infrastructure Management

  • Support and maintain a library of 130+ SaaS applications primarily managed through Okta.

  • Build and maintain a scalable hardware and software asset management program from procurement through offboarding.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning, business continuity protocols, and risk management strategies.
  • Maintain strong security hygiene by coordinating regular access reviews and vulnerability remediation with Security.

WHAT YOU BRING

We're a nonprofit organization that builds tech and infrastructure for Democratic campaigns, progressive-aligned causes, and people trying to make an impact in order to fuel long-term change. We envision a democracy where everyone looking to make progressive people-powered change can easily and effectively deploy their resources, energy, and creativity to shape our country and futures. Our growing team is made up of political activists, software engineers, customer service pros, storytellers, and more committed to our mission. Since our founding in 2004, we've focused on democratizing the least democratic part of campaigns: fundraising. We wanted to use technology to make it easy for people to participate in our politics and chip into the progressive candidates and causes they believed in. There wasn't a lot of online fundraising before 2004 — smartphones hadn't even been invented yet! Since then, we've helped campaigns and organizations build grassroots fundraising programs, all while advocating for the power of small-dollar donors. We're proud to work alongside so many progressive organizations and candidates working for the people and helping build a movement of grassroots change.

Our platform is available to Democratic candidates and committees, progressive organizations, and nonprofits that share our values for no cost besides a 3.95% processing fee on donations. We operate as a conduit, which means donations made through us to a campaign or organization are considered individual donations. We take care of building fundraising tools and technology so the groups using our platform can focus on engaging and communicating with their supporters — we don't fundraise, donate, or send texts or emails on behalf of any group. As a nonprofit ourselves, we're funded by our own amazing small-dollar donors! We work year-round, so even when campaigns end, our innovation continues. Our engineers are constantly A/B testing our contribution forms, creating new features, and staying on top of the latest advances in online security. Millions of donors can give to any group using our platform with a single click because they've saved their payment information through our ActBlue Express feature. We believe in the power of people. It's in our mission and it drives our culture. It takes all types of people to make ActBlue go. We're a team of software developers, product professionals, political nerds, digital enthusiasts, and customer service champions.
