We are seeking a skilled and experienced SysOps Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure and services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage automation tools and processes for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of AWS resources using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security configurations.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability on AWS infrastructure.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures and backup strategies for AWS environments.
• Stay up-to-date with AWS best practices, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve our AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a SysOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on managing AWS infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in cloud environments.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
