Yardley Mellon
@yardleymellon
I’m a Haitian Creole–English interpreter and refugee case manager bridging language access.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Haitian Creole–English interpreter and community service professional who helps people cross language barriers and access the support they need. I’m known for cultural sensitivity, professionalism, active listening, and strict confidentiality.
In my current role as a Haitian Interpreter with Got It, LLC, I provide accurate, culturally aware interpretation for students, parents, and school staff. I facilitate communication during meetings, conferences, and educational events to support student success, while helping families navigate school systems and community resources.
Previously, I served as a Refugee Case Manager for the Haitian population at Jewish Family Services of Western MA. I conducted client intake assessments, collaborated on service plans, coordinated services with community organizations and healthcare providers, and supported clients with housing, food resources, education services, and public benefits—often alongside interpretation to help clients navigate complex systems.
Earlier in my career, I strengthened my client-facing and administrative foundation through roles including Health Coach Assistant / Administrator at Our Journey at OD Fitness, and Office Clerk for Law Offices of Dunn & Phillips, P.C. I also carry DESE training credentials and a MA Producer’s License, and I continue to give back through long-term volunteer work focused on community needs and youth mentorship.
