I have almost 30 years of professional experience in the area of Information Technology. I have an academic background in Electrical Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Computer Network technologies and an incomplete Master's degree in Computer Engineering from USP. My career in IT is solid: I have international experience of more than 6 years in Angola, where I started working as a Microsoft Consultant.
In Angola, I managed teams made up of Angolans, Brazilians, Americans and Namibians, who worked on projects and technical support. The language was English. The American company that took me to Angola later promoted me to IT Director of the group and transferred me to its headquarters in Houston – Texas, USA. As Director, I managed multidisciplinary teams in the group's three units: United States, Angola and Brazil. The teams were responsible for project implementation, internal technical support and technical support for customers.
I have several years of experience as an IT project manager. I am PMP certified (Project Management Professional) by PMI (Project Management Institute) since 2012. I have knowledge in agile project management and ASF (Agile Scrum Foundation) certification. In Angola, I was the manager of a project for the president of Angola, between 2012 and 2013, on his re-election, focused on security technologies and IT infrastructure. In Brazil, I was the project manager that brought 3G technology to a company called Nextel, between 2011 and 2012, and which years later was purchased by Claro. I have ITIL and COBIT certifications, in addition to several Microsoft certifications in infrastructure and SQL Server database technologies. I also have solid training and experience in the technical area, having worked for more than 10 years as a Microsoft Certified Engineer specializing in infrastructure technologies, internal support and external customer support. As an Engineer, I participated in several projects in Angola, Brazil and the United States.
