As a Senior German Subtitle Translator & AV Localization Specialist working freelance, I translate English audiovisual dialogue into German and create and edit SRT subtitle files to client specifications. I preserve character voice and context while adapting dialogue for clear, readable subtitles.

I also translate on-screen text and forced narratives, then check subtitle timing, synchronization, segmentation, and line breaks against the video. I perform final linguistic QA, including checks for terminology and consistency.

Previously, as a German Subtitle Reviewer & Linguistic QA Specialist, I checked German subtitle assets against source dialogue and video context. I identified translation and technical issues, applied project style guides, and provided correction recommendations.

Earlier freelance and contract work included translating English video and promotional content for German audiences, proofreading subtitle files, and reviewing them for accuracy and readability.
