Wendy Cheuk
@wendycheuk
I lead nursing, interprofessional practice, education, patient experience, ethics, and clinical operations across healthcare systems.
What I'm looking for
I lead enterprise nursing, interprofessional practice, education, patient experience, spiritual health, academic affairs, and ethics at Michael Garron Hospital. I build integrated strategy, governance, policy, practice standards, and improvement systems across a community academic teaching hospital.
Previously, as Chief Nursing Officer at Casey House, I led clinical programs, quality initiatives, strategic planning, operations, budgets, and standards of practice for nursing and allied health within an active harm reduction approach. I also co-chaired the Board Quality Committee and advanced clinical excellence and quality client care.
My leadership spans forensic mental health at CAMH, ambulatory cancer clinics at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and hospital-wide after-hours clinical operations at St. Michael's Hospital. As a Clinical Leader Manager at St. Michael's, I managed a $7.5M budget and more than 110 direct reports, recovered over $100K in missed OHIP billings, and increased continuous sleep-lab donations by 300% year-over-year.
Grounded in nursing, regulatory investigations, education, and patient advocacy, I bring evidence-informed practice and collaborative governance to complex care environments. I focus on translating standards, quality priorities, and organizational values into practical systems that support patients, families, learners, and care teams.
