What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a Clinical Practice Leader role in inpatient mental health that combines clinical leadership, staff education, quality improvement, patient safety, and practice development.

At Lakeridge Health, I support Clinical Practice Leaders and frontline teams by developing and governing controlled clinical documents, contributing to quality and patient-safety initiatives, and creating practical tools for consistent practice.

Before moving into Quality & Compliance, I provided inpatient mental health care across Ajax-Pickering and Oshawa through the Mental Health Resource Pool. I completed mental health, behavioural, and safety risk assessments and supported patients with complex acute psychiatric presentations using therapeutic communication, de-escalation, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.

I'm also an SMG Crisis Intervention Trainer and Clinical Educator, facilitating education in de-escalation, protective techniques, and containment techniques. I have preceptored nursing students and support skills-based learning that builds staff confidence and safe crisis response.

My experience spans community mental health, emergency care, acute-care float nursing, patient safety, policy governance, and evidence-informed practice. I'm interested in bringing this combined frontline and corporate perspective to clinical practice leadership in inpatient mental health.
