What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead backend reliability and data-platform initiatives—hardening Kubernetes/AWS systems, improving SLOs and MTTR, and partnering cross-functionally to ship safely with measurable impact on performance and uptime.

I’m a Senior backend and SRE-focused engineer with more than 10 years building and operating distributed systems, high-throughput data pipelines, and microservices across startup and enterprise environments. I combine 0-to-1 product work with scaling mature platforms and cross-functional delivery.

In my current role, I spearheaded reliability work for distributed systems by hardening Kubernetes clusters and AWS networking to improve platform uptime to 99.95% across 12 services. I architected a data ingestion pipeline using Kafka, PostgreSQL, and S3 to capture sensor telemetry—raising ingest capacity to 3 TB/day and reducing lag by 68%—and I scaled availability with Prometheus and Grafana dashboards tied to SLOs, lowering MTTR by 47% during critical incidents.

Previously, as a Lead Backend Engineer, I architected a microservices architecture in Node.js and TypeScript to replace a monolith, launching 18 services and improving developer velocity by 3x. I scaled data pipelines with Kafka, Airflow, and PostgreSQL to process over 500M events/month, built backend APIs with Express, GraphQL, and gRPC for React/React Native clients, and strengthened observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Sentry—reducing customer-impacting incidents by 54% and improving SLA compliance.

Across roles, I’ve been hands-on with CI/CD and automation using Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD/Flux, while driving incident and change management through RCAs, postmortems, and problem management practices. I mentor engineers on SRE practices and incident response, and I enjoy turning complex distributed systems into dependable, measurable platforms.
