Travis Evers
@travisevers
AI enablement leader and Senior Knowledge Engineer who builds and ships LLM-powered agents and knowledge tooling.
What I'm looking for
I’m an AI enablement leader with 9+ years in technical support and knowledge management, focused on identifying high-value AI use cases and shipping practical tools that work in production. On Okta’s customer acceleration team, I build and deploy AI-powered agents, ingestion pipelines, and quality-review applications for a global support organization.
I bring hands-on experience with LLM APIs, RAG, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, making practical build-vs-buy decisions and documenting reusable prompt frameworks and content standards so others can scale what we learn. I also drive adoption through training and enablement, partnering closely with non-technical stakeholders while presenting AI approaches at org sync meetings.
My work includes building and deploying tools that help front-line engineers draft and update LLM-optimized knowledge articles to standards, plus automated documentation ingestion and quality-review applications used by Okta and Auth0 support teams. I also configure AI agents in Open WebUI to support consistent, standards-compliant knowledge creation.
Beyond AI, I’m grounded in KCS v6 practices—content strategy, lifecycle management, and editorial/technical review. I’ve supported measurable impact, including a 7% year-over-year reduction in case volume through improved self-service and knowledge quality.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Built and deployed multiple AI tools to support front-line engineers, including agents that draft and update LLM-optimized knowledge articles and an automated documentation ingestion pipeline. Led AI enablement as a founding AI Change Champion and drove a 7% year-over-year reduction in case volume through improved self-service and knowledge quality.
Resolved customer issues connecting Active Directory and LDAP directories to Okta while maintaining a personal case queue to high service standards. Produced and maintained knowledge articles from case solutions and supported knowledge management rotation and the TSE Advisory Committee.
Troubleshot connectivity between application servers and storage, identity, and networking platforms across VPN and web-proxy traffic. Maintained and coached customer-facing knowledge articles using the Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) framework and partnered with engineering to resolve software bugs.
