What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can support AWS customers by troubleshooting compute, storage, networking, and security issues—using monitoring, SQL, and automation to improve reliability, documentation, and customer outcomes within a collaborative team.

I’m an AWS Cloud Support Engineer intern and Computer Science honours graduate (NQF 8, 73% average), focused on helping customers succeed through fast, accurate technical support. I bring a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, Data Engineering, networking, and security, backed by four AWS certifications.

At Amazon Web Services, I provided troubleshooting across compute, storage, networking, and security services, while documenting resolutions in support systems. I managed and optimized AWS resources including Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC, AWS IAM, and Amazon CloudWatch, and I used SQL plus AWS monitoring tools to analyze logs and metrics for root-cause analysis and service reliability improvements.

I’m also hands-on with automation and security: I leveraged AI-powered tools to reduce routine support effort and improve documentation quality, and I built a cybersecurity home lab using SIEM (Splunk), IDS/IPS (Snort), pfSense, and vulnerability scanning (Nessus). I’ve complemented my support work with an intelligent serverless AWS data pipeline (Amazon Bedrock) and an e-learning platform project, reinforcing my drive to build reliable systems and communicate clearly in cross-functional teams.
