At FASTTRACK LEARNING (PTY) LTD T/A IPSPACE, I monitor, configure, and support WAN services across more than 500 government sites in Botswana using Zabbix and Observium. I respond to alarms, outages, performance issues, and connectivity incidents.
I troubleshoot routing, switching, VLAN, and IP connectivity faults, and coordinate escalations with BoFiNet, the Department of Information Technology (DIT), and the Department of Shared Digital Services (DSDS). On-site, I work on service restoration, fibre and SFP issues, and Ubiquiti wireless links.
I also install and configure bare-metal servers and VMware ESXi hypervisors, manage virtual machines, and handle backup and recovery operations using Veeam. My work includes configuring Cisco IP phones and investigating link utilization to support bandwidth upgrade requests.
My work has included resolving a network loop at the Competition Authority (CA), restoring a DHCP service at the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), and configuring SEZA guest Wi-Fi with security controls. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, a CCNA, and a Fortinet NSE 3 Certified in Cybersecurity certification.
