I am a results-driven Civil Engineering student with a strong grasp of fundamentals and a practical ability for solving problems on the ground. I work well independently and with a team, and I focus on clear communication and getting the details right so projects succeed.

As a Materials Engineer Intern at CENTRAL MATERIALS LABORATORY (CML), I conducted rigorous materials testing on concrete—slump tests, compressive strength, casting, and curing cubes. I also performed soil tests including Proctor compaction, Atterberg limits, and moisture content, and I tested steel reinforcement for tensile strength and bend tests. I prepared detailed test reports and operated and maintained equipment such as compressive strength testers, ovens, sieves, and universal testing machines.

In my Structural Engineer Intern role at the MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND PUBLIC WORKS- BUILDINGS DEPARTMENT, I assisted senior engineers in the design and analysis of structural elements—beams, columns, slabs, and foundations for commercial and residential buildings. I helped develop and detail structural drawings and schematics in AutoCAD to support compliance with relevant building codes. I also participated in calculations for dead loads, live loads, and wind loads, and I conducted site inspections to verify adherence to structural drawings while assisting with site visit reports.

Most recently, as a Maintenance Engineer Intern at ROADS AUTHORITY SOUTHERN REGION, I supported road maintenance projects in the Southern Region with responsibilities that included project management, evaluating bids, preparing tender documents, preparing bills of quantities, supervising projects, and conducting inventories. I bring a continuous-learning mindset, professional ethics, and a commitment to building sustainably, with quality, and with accountability.
