Provide senior civil-infrastructure implementation support for the EU-funded Chilungamo II Access to Justice Programme. Undertake infrastructure needs assessments, review cost estimates and Bills of Quantities, and coordinate with programme management and implementing institutions.

Head the national Government materials-testing, design-verification and quality-assurance laboratory supporting roads, bridges and public buildings. Lead more than 100 technical staff, including five engineers, and coordinate annual work plans, budgets, and procurement plans.

Government-nominated technical lead for the new prestressed-concrete bridge and associated M1 upgrading works under Japan Grant Aid. Coordinate interfaces between MoTPW, consultant Katahira & Engineers International and contractor joint venture, and review bridge design, construction, materials, geotechnical conditions, and quality assurance.

Served as Ministry desk officer/technical liaison for the World Bank-financed RESTORE Project. Drafted Terms of Reference, authored the national Needs Assessment for upgrading Roads and Bridges Technical Design Standards, and coordinated technical inputs from Government officers and consultants.

Completed a nationwide short-term infrastructure assignment supporting investment planning for the EU-funded Access to Justice Programme. Delivered five technical reports within 35 working days, including Inception, Needs Assessment, Baseline, Cost Estimation and Final Reports.

Supported geotechnical works for infrastructure upgrades at Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Salima Technical Colleges and the Malawi Institute of Tourism. Reviewed and refined Terms of Reference, conducted/supervised trial pits, DCP and percolation testing, and provided site-specific foundation recommendations.

Led assessment of climate-driven flood and scour vulnerability affecting strategic road and bridge crossings following Cyclone Freddy. Integrated hydrological/hydraulic evidence with geotechnical and infrastructure condition information to identify vulnerability and reconstruction priorities.

Appointed to lead a national forensic investigation into premature pavement failures on strategic roads. Oversaw technical data collection, materials testing and pavement assessment, diagnosed likely causes and issued recommendations to improve materials quality and construction oversight.

Led cost-estimation and technical inputs for the cross-border bridge assignment. Evaluated foundation, span and materials considerations and prepared scenario-based cost inputs, coordinating technical information and institutional validation.

Participated in a multidisciplinary review of the cross-border road transport model law. Provided engineering advice on road design/construction standards and implications of differing axle-load requirements across countries.

Led independent pavement/materials investigation and reporting for the road project. Set investigation criteria and scope, selected appropriate field/laboratory methods, analysed results and prepared recommendations for Government decision-making.

Led geotechnical field and laboratory investigations supporting substructure/foundation design for the interchange bridge project. Led a multidisciplinary team, applied rotary/percussive drilling and SPT/CPT-related investigation, and reviewed foundation parameters and pile design requirements.

Supported detailed engineering design for upgrading the road to all-weather bitumen standard. Contributed to materials assessment, hydrology/drainage design and engineering design decisions, and introduced drone-assisted data collection for hydrology/drainage assessment.

Provided senior materials, geotechnical and design support to road, bridge and public-building projects across Malawi. Led materials selection and performance assessment, participated in soil and rock investigations, and supported bridge designs through assessment of concrete, steel and other materials.

Coordinated design and contract matters for selected district feeder-road bridge upgrading works. Monitored quality and implementation, certified completion against design intent, and worked with district/local-government stakeholders and contractors.

Supported design/supervision and construction management for road upgrading. Coordinated/supervised contractor and subcontractor activities, monitored project schedules and budgets, and prepared progress reports.

Supported construction quality and materials control for the railway corridor works. Monitored embankment construction progress, inspected/tested materials and workmanship, and maintained safety documentation.
