Supriya Cotra Prabhakar
@supriyacotraprabhaka
I lead digital health and AI strategy, building ethical, interoperable systems that strengthen public health outcomes.
What I'm looking for
I’m a digital health and AI strategy leader with 20 years of experience shaping data-driven innovation at the intersection of technology, governance, and public health. I’m trusted by WHO, UNDP, UNESCAP, and national ministries to guide ethical AI adoption, digital transformation, and health systems resilience.
Since 2021, I’ve served as Technical Head, Digital Health and AI at ACCESS Health International, leading strategic and technical direction across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. I’ve designed and guided AI-enabled clinical decision support systems with human-in-the-loop governance and clinician-facing tools for ethical AI validation, including a clinician-led AI governance pilot and a digital health Living Lab for acute cardiac care.
I focus heavily on interoperability and digital public infrastructure. I’ve advised national agencies on interoperability-ready architectures aligned with ABDM, FHIR, HL7, and OpenHIE standards, and led implementation research demonstrating full-stack interoperability for India’s national digital health mission across more than 240 million people.
I also build capabilities and frameworks that scale. I designed the Health Informatics Curriculum under the Health Systems Institute and delivered capacity-building programs for more than 1,200 policymakers, clinicians, and administrators—while advising partners on ABDM compliance and translating regulatory requirements into actionable product guidance.
