As Director of Human Resources (CHRO) for County of Nevada, I led a staff of 12 providing full HR support to a County of 1000+ employees. I spearheaded a departmental reorganization, drove cultural transformation, and championed organizational compliance while managing self-funded programs and a deferred compensation plan with culminative budgetary responsibility up to $250M.
My CHRO tenure includes modernizing HR functions, reducing hiring time dramatically, and strengthening employee engagement through performance management and organizational development. For County of Mono, I led a modernization effort after a ten-year absence of an HR Director, revamped benefits (saving $20k), corrected protected leave compliance issues (saving $100k annually), and established platforms that improved both compliance and ease of administration.
Beyond day-to-day HR leadership, I’ve built statewide influence as President of California Counties Human Resources (CCHR), representing all 58 California counties and leading a first-of-its-kind yearlong HR Director’s institute. Earlier, I led large teams in the U.S. Air Force, Department of Energy, and U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, applying Lean Six Sigma to reduce costs and deliver measurable, mission-ready improvements.
