Stephanie Perez
@stephanieperez2
Registered nurse delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care and clinical leadership.
What I'm looking for
I provide quality patient health care and develop an individuated care plan during patient stay. I deliver care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
In my current Registered Nurse II / Charge Nurse role, I perform physical assessments, wound care, cauterizations, port flushes, and IV insertion, while managing pain and administering prescribed treatments. I also provide acute triage over the phone and transport patients between local hospitals for higher level of care.
I direct and coordinate patient care activities of support staff as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act and document and review patient charts in the Electronic Health Record per protocol. I communicate patient needs with all interdisciplinary teams, guide and lead other staff nurses, and oversee unit operations with admissions, discharges, and review of medical supplies.
I’ve broadened my impact across pediatrics and community health—utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for children, adolescents, and young adults, and delivering evidence-based, in-home parent-training curriculum for at-risk families through Public Health/CPS case management. I’m bilingual in Spanish and trained in BLS and PALS.
