Stephanie Fernandez

I lead UX design for the NSW Department of Education’s School Infrastructure core project-management lifecycle application, guiding user research, design testing, prototypes and iterative UI design in collaboration with developers and testers.

Previously, I led discovery for the Training Services NSW Technology Roadmap, engaging nearly 150 business and customer stakeholders to inform transformation priorities and continuous improvement. I also led digital forms discovery and design for Salesforce integration, coordinated cross-functional teams, and redesigned the employee offboarding journey with Shared Services, HR and IT.

I’ve contributed to enterprise ServiceNow rollout, Corporate Finance Business Partnerships transformation, service onboarding frameworks and human-centred design capability uplift. My approach combines research, stakeholder engagement, co-design, prototyping and usability testing to turn complex needs into practical solutions.

Before moving into service design, I managed communications and engagement programs at the Information and Privacy Commission NSW, translating complex information into accessible content, campaigns, executive communications and digital experiences.
