Stanislav Staev

I’m a Senior Full Stack Engineer with over 8 years of experience designing and shipping web applications and services across the full stack. I’ve worked across a broad range of languages, including JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Java, Python, and C#/.NET.

Right now, I’m building investment and trading systems in fintech at Upvest, comfortable owning features end to end—from React frontends to microservice backends, databases, and cloud deployment. I’ve designed and shipped REST and gRPC APIs that power securities trading and deployed on Kubernetes across AWS.

Previously, I delivered cloud-native applications for enterprise clients at IBM, choosing the right language per project and building microservices and serverless functions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud using Terraform and Kubernetes. I also created an order-management platform on a Node.js and React stack, and set up CI/CD pipelines and automated tests to reduce failed deployments and manual release steps.

At Nordcloud (an IBM company) and earlier at Societe Generale and Philips, I built digital banking and healthcare web tools, maintained legacy services while migrating functionality to modern microservices, and improved performance with caching and state handling. I’m known for adapting quickly to any stack, delivering reliable software, and mentoring engineers to raise quality and consistency.
