What I'm looking for

I seek a role that allows me to support individuals in crisis, fostering a compassionate environment while continuing to grow in addiction counseling.

I am a dedicated crisis counselor with extensive experience in providing support to individuals in distress. Currently, I work remotely for Didi Hirsch, answering the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline. My role involves not only offering immediate assistance but also creating a safe, non-judgmental space for those in need. I practice safety planning, de-escalation techniques, and motivational interviewing, ensuring that every caller feels heard and valued.

Previously, I have worked with VIA LINK and PATH, where I honed my skills in crisis intervention and behavioral health. I take pride in my ability to connect with clients on a personal level, drawing from my own experiences to inspire hope and resilience. Being part of the training team at VIA LINK was particularly fulfilling, as I helped new employees prepare to support those in crisis. My passion for this work drives me to continually seek ways to improve and expand my skills in addiction counseling and mental health support.
