Sophie Chitengi
@sophiechitengi1
I’m a nutrition support and public health professional who supervises community programs and drives data-informed malnutrition prevention.
What I'm looking for
I supervise community nutrition support groups, providing technical guidance to promoters to implement nutrition models for children under 2 and pregnant/breastfeeding mothers.
I combine training in infant and young child feeding (IYCF), community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), and behavioral change techniques with hands-on field monitoring and evaluation. I generate field reports, document best practices, and track progress on malnutrition reduction using accurate data.
Previously, I worked as a Public Health Officer, supporting disease prevention and control through outbreak investigation, communicable disease surveillance, and vaccination support. I created and implemented community awareness programs, and I developed health promotion strategies, protocols, and budgets for health programs.
My earlier sales experience strengthened how I communicate, prospect, and build relationships—skills I now apply to selecting community volunteers, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring a steady supply of nutrition materials.
