Behavioral scientist at Moon Research Consulting, translating business questions into study designs and analysis plans.
What I'm looking for
At Moon Research Consulting, LLC, I provide research design, measurement, and statistical consulting, translating open-ended business questions into structured study designs and analysis plans. I also scope psychometric and licensure examination development projects, defining deliverables and analytic approaches.
At La Salle University, I studied decision-making, self-regulation, and motivation through experimental, quasi-experimental, survey, and mixed-methods research. On a federally funded NIDA project, I planned and conducted analyses, including item response theory and item equating for patient self-report measures.
I was Principal Investigator and sole evaluator for a funded NSF teacher partnership program evaluation, and led its supplemental study on emotion regulation among teachers from instrument design through analysis and the funder report. I also directed La Salle University's master's program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, supporting curriculum, research training, and mentoring.
My work includes measurement and factor-analytic studies, including one involving more than 655,000 records. I have authored peer-reviewed publications and a statistics textbook, and I teach undergraduate statistics at the University of Akron.
