Simone Becker
@simonebecker
Aspiring meteorologist with strong programming and forecasting skills.
What I'm looking for
As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, I have developed a solid foundation in meteorology and data analysis. My hands-on experience includes working as a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service, where I shadowed seasoned professionals and produced critical weather forecasts for various stakeholders. My training in Aviation and Marine Forecasting has equipped me with specialized knowledge that I am eager to apply in real-world scenarios.
In addition to my meteorological expertise, I have a strong programming background, having worked extensively with Python, C++, and Fortran. My research experience at the University of Colorado Boulder involved reworking climate model code for the Arctic region, which deepened my understanding of atmospheric variables and their implications. I am passionate about using my skills to contribute to impactful weather forecasting and climate research.
