At NASA, I drove development of the NOAA/NASA Domain Specific Language (NDSL), a Python-based middleware framework for defining and executing reproducible meteorological modeling workflows. I advanced it from a pre-alpha prototype to initial user deployment.
I brought physics parameterizations from the Fortran-based Goddard Earth Observing System to NDSL, including Fortran-to-Python translation and scientific validation. I also developed HPC pipelines supporting CPU and GPU execution across nodes and machines.
At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I developed algorithms for a Mesoscale Airmasses with High Theta-e climatology and for processing dual-polarimetric radar data. I also participated in field campaigns, coordinated radiosonde soundings, and assisted with development of a meteorological unmanned aerial system observing platform.
