Amelia Bryan
@ameliabryan
Aspiring meteorologist with expertise in atmospheric sciences and education.
What I'm looking for
As a dedicated graduate student at Florida State University, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Meteorology, building on my strong foundation from North Carolina State University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with dual Bachelor's degrees in Meteorology and Marine Science. My thesis research focuses on air-sea fluxes and transfer coefficients in hurricanes, utilizing dropsonde data to contribute to the understanding of these complex systems.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where I assist in delivering undergraduate courses in meteorology and environmental science. My role involves providing academic support through feedback and tutoring, helping students grasp challenging concepts. I have also worked as a tutor for student-athletes, where I tailored my approach to meet diverse learning needs in subjects like oceanography and climate science.
My commitment to the field extends beyond the classroom; I actively participate in conferences, presenting my research and facilitating discussions on critical topics in meteorology. I am passionate about advancing my knowledge and skills in atmospheric sciences and contributing to impactful research and education.
