I am a biomedical engineer specializing in embedded hardware and medical device development.
What I'm looking for
I am a biomedical engineering student at the University of Calgary with a minor in Digital Engineering, specializing in embedded hardware and medical device development. I bring hands-on experience building firmware, soldering custom circuits, and integrating sensors for clinical prototypes.
I led hardware and firmware development for a capstone system providing real-time intubation feedback, conducting QA testing and iterating with physicians to improve clinical reliability. I developed an embedded Smart Inhaler using Arduino and ultrasonic sensors, and I have practical skills in PCB design, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and Raspberry Pi. I have also contributed to research and communications teams, performed patient interviews, and served on an ethics board.
I hold QA/QC and TCPS 2 certifications and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams focused on safe, user-centered medical products. I am seeking entry-level roles where I can apply my embedded systems expertise to develop reliable clinical devices.
