Lead Academic Advisor dedicated to student success and engagement.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate Lead Academic Advisor with over eight years of experience in higher education. My journey began as an Academic Advisor, and through dedication and hard work, I was promoted to Lead Academic Advisor in 2021. I take pride in helping students articulate their academic goals and develop meaningful plans of study, ensuring they stay on track for graduation. I have successfully advised over 800 students, providing a safe and confidential environment for them to share their thoughts and concerns.
Collaboration is key in my role, as I work closely with faculty, department chairs, and student success teams to enhance student processes and procedures. My experience includes updating policies, processing applications, and educating students on university policies. I also lead the Undergraduate Business Advising Team, where I assist in hiring and training new advisors, and I actively participate in events to promote our business programs. My commitment to effective communication and student advocacy drives my work every day.
