Shane Cullen
@shanecullen
Experienced developmental editor and researcher who refines complex technical content and supports non-native English authors.
What I'm looking for
I'm an experienced editor, researcher, writer, and content project manager who refines complex technical content and helps authors communicate clearly in their own voice.
At Draft.dev I have edited over 1,000 technical software development articles, managed the internal publishing process, and coordinated a pool of more than 100 active writers while improving internal processes and documentation.
As a freelance editorial and research consultant, I provide content, structural, and copy editing for projects ranging from academic books and journals to software development articles and memoirs, with a strong focus on supporting ESL professionals, developers, and academics.
In higher education research roles I mapped institutional interconnections, prepared presentation materials for national ministries, and supported publication workflows, demonstrating adaptability, project management, and a broad knowledge of current affairs and policy contexts.
