@sarahleesmithshields
Experienced administrative specialist with federal government expertise in policy, finance, and communications.
What I'm looking for
I am an administrative specialist with over five years' experience working in the federal public service, focused on administration, policy, and communications. I have supported teams across Environment and Climate Change Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada, managing travel, procurement, leases, invoices and finances for operational groups.
I bring strong systems experience and technical proficiency, including SAP/Fiori, Invoice 2 Pay (I2P), SharePoint, Shared Travel Services (HRG) and Microsoft Office, and I have applied these tools to streamline processes and maintain organized shared drives and calendars.
My roles have included leadership responsibilities: I served as Team Leader (August 2023, July 2024), acted as office Point of Contact, led charitable campaigns, and coordinated outreach and stakeholder engagement for programs such as passport software deployment and social insurance number clinics.
I am organized, adaptable and service-oriented, with a solid grounding in public service policy and procedures and hands-on experience managing client accounts for Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security programs. I aim to contribute immediately to teams needing reliable administration and policy support.
