Sami Meskele

I'm the Founder and CEO of NextDev, where I lead a 4-person team of developers and designers delivering 10+ web and mobile applications across 5 industries. I architect, build, and deploy full-stack products end-to-end using React, Next.js, Node.js, and React Native — owning each project from client proposal through launch.

Alongside development, I currently work as an AI Data Reviewer at Jeenie, evaluating Amharic-language audio transcripts and LLM-generated outputs for AI model training pipelines, including prompt testing and structured data annotation. I also have a background in UI/UX and graphic design from my earlier work at Spark Printing and Image Printing Press, giving me a strong foundation in translating design into functioning products — useful for teams that want someone comfortable across the full product pipeline, not just one layer of it.

I hold a B.Sc. in Electromechanical Engineering from Hawassa University, which shows up in how I approach problems: structured, methodical, and detail-driven. Outside of work, I train seriously in powerlifting, which has taught me the same discipline and consistency I bring professionally — tracking progress carefully and working steadily toward long-term goals rather than quick wins.
