Paras Sain

I am Paras Sain, a software engineer based in Delhi, India. With expertise in multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript, I have developed a strong foundation in computer science, including knowledge of object-oriented programming, operating systems, and data structures and algorithms.

I worked as a Software Engineer Associate at Amdocs in Pune from July 2021 to February 2023. During my time there, I excelled in developing containerized REST APIs and ETL processes within a microservices architecture. Using the Spring framework in Java, I implemented Java Functional Programming and optimization techniques to significantly reduce latency by up to 1500ms. I also utilized technologies like Kafka for asynchronous messaging and AWS for storing reference data, enabling seamless integration and runtime usage of CSV-based reference data.

Ensuring high-quality code was a priority for me. I maintained code coverage of over 80% by writing extensive test cases in JUnit and employed tools like SonarQube to identify and rectify code smells, bugs, and security vulnerabilities. I successfully delivered multiple user stories to production and promptly addressed any defects that arose.

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (University of Delhi), where I graduated with a CGPA of 7.57. Additionally, I published a research paper on "Early Detection of Sepsis" in Wiley. During my academic years, I actively participated in extracurricular activities, serving as a Senior Coordinator for Junoon (The Photography Club of NSIT) and working as a Graphic Designer for Moksha (The Annual Cultural Fest of NSIT).

In my personal projects, I have developed an interactive game in C++ using OpenCV, created an image compression tool in Python using K-means clustering, and built a JavaScript-based front-end project called the Food Tracker Web App to monitor nutrient intake.

My dedication to continuous learning and professional growth is evident as I am currently enrolled in Udemy's Ultimate AWS Certified Developer Associate 2023 course by Stephane Maarek, preparing for the AWS Certified Developer - Associate Examination. With my technical skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities, I am confident in my ability to contribute as a valuable asset to any software engineering team.
