I am Paras Sain, a software engineer based in Delhi, India. With expertise in multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript, I have developed a strong foundation in computer science, including knowledge of object-oriented programming, operating systems, and data structures and algorithms.
I worked as a Software Engineer Associate at Amdocs in Pune from July 2021 to February 2023. During my time there, I excelled in developing containerized REST APIs and ETL processes within a microservices architecture. Using the Spring framework in Java, I implemented Java Functional Programming and optimization techniques to significantly reduce latency by up to 1500ms. I also utilized technologies like Kafka for asynchronous messaging and AWS for storing reference data, enabling seamless integration and runtime usage of CSV-based reference data.
Ensuring high-quality code was a priority for me. I maintained code coverage of over 80% by writing extensive test cases in JUnit and employed tools like SonarQube to identify and rectify code smells, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
