At Rowse Honey & Matthew Walker (Valeo Food Group), I manage food-material and packaging suppliers, assessing risks across food safety, quality, integrity, and sustainability. My work includes supplier audits, regulatory compliance, and resolving vendor non-conformances.
I redesigned the supplier and material approval process using Foods Connected, implemented a VACCP study, and developed an Ethical Framework for Suppliers. An investigation I conducted prevented a product recall.
As part of the Group’s ESG team, I work on sustainable sourcing, including EUDR compliance, ethical sourcing, and sustainable packaging. I also researched honey authenticity and shared my conclusions with customers.
Previously, at Intersnack Procurement, NSF International, and Burger King Ltd (BK) Berkshire, I worked on vendor assurance, traceability, and supply and product approval. At NSF International, my delivery of McDonald’s Unannounced Mock Recall program for EMEA suppliers contributed to the contract being extended and the program being rolled out to other regions.
