RUHANGAMUZA LUCIEN MOMEKA
@ruhangamuzalucienmom
PhD candidate and economist specializing in digital finance and financial inclusion.
What I'm looking for
I am a PhD candidate researching digital finance and financial inclusion within a joint program between the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès and the Evangelical University in Africa, conducting research at LEREPS and IRSA. My work combines applied economic analysis with field data collection to inform policy and development interventions.
I have extensive experience teaching statistics and management, supervising final-year student projects, and leading practical coursework at the Evangelical University in Africa. I also served as Interim Secretary for an academic journal and manage administrative and pedagogical activities for the Institute for Applied Statistics Research.
As an analyst with the Technical Working Group for South Kivu Province, I classify territories by food insecurity following established IPC protocols. I have supervised multiple consultancy missions—including assessments for ZOA and Women for Women International—overseeing data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and report writing.
I publish on monetary policy, regional integration, public debt and resilience, and I regularly train others in data collection and analysis tools (ODK, KoboCollect, G-Forms, NVivo, R, Stata, EViews, SPSS). I seek to apply rigorous research and practical field expertise to roles that advance financial inclusion and evidence-based policy.
