Fabien Bukuze

I am a dedicated freelance translator and interpreter with a strong academic background in English and Business Computing. I graduated from the Public University of Bukavu, DRC, where I developed a keen interest in utilizing ICTs to promote local agricultural products. My undergraduate thesis reflects my commitment to applying technology in practical ways to benefit my community.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in various roles, including interpreter and tourist guide at Gorilla Travel Services, where I facilitated communication for foreign guests. My role as a translator at the Public University of Bukavu allowed me to translate official documents between French and English, enhancing my linguistic skills and cultural understanding. I have also contributed to the academic field as a teaching assistant, guiding students in English literature and business.

My passion for translation and interpretation is further demonstrated through my leadership role at BBC Translation and Interpreting, where I ensured the timely delivery of high-quality translations. I am committed to fostering cross-cultural connections and continuously improving the translation profession in Bukavu.
