At Universidad de La Habana, I work as an Assistant Professor of History and coordinate academic initiatives involving students, researchers, and institutional partners. My work includes research-based materials on social policy, migration, inclusion, and historical memory.
I founded and coordinate Mes de la Historia LGBTQ+ Cuba, an initiative that celebrates and preserves the memory of Cuba’s LGBTQ+ community. Through education and exchange, we promote inclusion, reflect on stereotypes and stigma, and increase LGBTQ+ visibility within and beyond Cuban academia.
As a researcher with IREX / U.S. Department of State, I worked with the Essex County Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs on policy research, educational outreach, and community engagement. I also supported strategic communications, institutional partnerships, and advocacy-oriented programming.
