Rachel Lane

At Brenau University’s Miller Institute for Global Education, I lead international student and scholar services as PDSO and RO, overseeing F-1 and J-1 compliance, federal reporting, and SEVIS operations.

I advise students and scholars on immigration regulations, CPT, OPT, travel, academic planning, and cultural adjustment. I also supervise six DSOs and AROs, manage a $70,000 budget, and build orientations, workshops, advising workflows, and programs that support retention and campus integration.

Previously, I supported international services at Brenau as Associate Director and served as a DSO at Kaplan International, maintaining SEVIS records and helping students maintain status. My earlier work with EF included housing operations, host-family recruitment, student services, and activities for international English-language students; I received EF’s company-wide Highest Customer Satisfaction Rates in Host Families award for 2017.

I bring experience across immigration compliance, international education, student programming, recruitment, staff development, and cross-campus collaboration. I also speak English and Spanish and have contributed to the international education community through GICA and NAFSA engagement.
