Motivated educator dedicated to inspiring academic and personal excellence.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate educator with a strong commitment to fostering academic and personal growth in students. With a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction focused on Special Education, I have dedicated my career to supporting students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. My experience spans elementary, middle school, and post-secondary education, where I have successfully implemented individualized education plans and collaborated with professionals to create effective learning environments.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my ability to inspire and motivate students. As a Special Education Teacher at Stewart Elementary, I provide targeted interventions and direct instruction to K-5 students, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive. My role as an Adjunct Professor at Mount Marty University allowed me to share my knowledge and expertise with future educators, furthering my commitment to educational excellence.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have also managed operations at the City of Yankton's Aquatics Center, where I lead a team of over 50 employees and ensure the safety of children year-round. My dedication to education and community service is reflected in my academic achievements, including graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving recognition as one of the 31 Under 31 by Yankton Thrive.
