What I'm looking for

I am seeking a role that allows me to support others while utilizing my technology skills in education.

I am a dedicated and goal-driven Special Education Teacher with a solid commitment to the personal and professional growth of myself and those I work with. Currently, I serve as a Special Education Coordinator at South Ripley Junior High, where I oversee the completion and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in the General Education classroom. My role involves active participation in IEP meetings, data collection, and the development of Behavior Intervention Plans, ensuring that each student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

With a strong background in educational technology and instructional design, I have been involved in various initiatives, including the Guiding Coalition Technology Team and the ILEARN Assessment Certification. My experience also includes collaborating with teachers across multiple schools and facilitating classroom outings, which enrich the educational experience for my students. I am passionate about fostering an inclusive environment and have actively participated in Special Olympics events, demonstrating my commitment to supporting students with disabilities both in and out of the classroom.

These past experiences have helped prepare me to work with others to develop needed curriculum and instruction in many areas.
