What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to foster inclusive learning environments and support staff development.

I am a dedicated educational leader with over fifteen years of experience as an elementary principal and special education director. My passion lies in fostering inclusive learning environments and driving school improvement initiatives. I have a proven track record of building strong relationships with staff, students, and the community, which has been instrumental in implementing programs that promote academic and behavioral success.

In my role as an Elementary Principal and Special Education Director at Mount Vernon Community School District, I led day-to-day operations and instructional programming for Washington Elementary. I provided training for the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and facilitated professional development in literacy, math instruction, and social-emotional behavior health. My commitment to mentoring new teachers and creating district-wide mentoring programs has been a highlight of my career, as I believe in the importance of supporting staff development through collaborative leadership.

Additionally, I have served as an Adjunct Professor at Viterbo University, where I taught adult learners pursuing their educational leadership degrees. My experience includes using technology to enhance online and hybrid courses, focusing on critical topics such as school-family-community partnerships and special education compliance. I am passionate about supporting student growth and am eager to continue making a positive impact in the field of education.
