What I'm looking for
I’m a hands-on manager who keeps service flowing and standards consistent. At Capital Craft Beer Academy, I handled general managerial tasks while “Running the floor,” “Insuring the flow of the shop,” and checking the quality of the beer and food.
I also own the operational details that make great shifts happen. I’ve managed stock and ordering, cashed up, dealt with customers daily, supported basic payroll by checking and imporitng timesheets, and kept POS systems “functional and ready.” I create data from sales numbers and use it to research, refine information, and support staff.
Before hospitality management, I strengthened my leadership and organisation through theatre production work. As a Production Manager and Stage Manager, I organised and ran programmes, coordinated props and stage setup, and managed rehearsal/production photography; as a Production Assistant, I did basic book keeping and created proposals for funding and festival applications.
I bring a solid academic foundation from Rhodes University (Bachelor of Arts and Honours in Choreography/Contemporary Performance/Dramatic Literature) and I’m comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines. I’m fluent in English, confident in Afrikaans speaking, and I use basic Excel/Google Sheets alongside advanced “Pilot POS & Admin” skills to keep teams coordinated and performance measurable.
