I build and run the technology that moves mortgage loans from application to funding. I started at loanDepot as a mortgage closer, auditing closing packages against lender guidelines, and for the last four years I've owned the backlog, releases and roadmap for an automated underwriting platform handling 1M+ loans and $6B+ annually.
That path gave me a close view of where mortgage work breaks down and how to automate it safely. I turn lender and regulatory requirements into InRule business rules, and I've delivered Automated Income Verification and Automated Credit Decisioning, each improving efficiency by about 30%.
I like working in the details. I triage issues by reading JSON and XML payloads, validate integrations in Postman, confirm data with SQL, and work across Black Knight/DarkMatter, Encompass and Empower, including their pricing engines. I've also built three AI agents that handle release notes, deployment alerts and ticket intake, so I have a practical sense of where AI adds real value in a regulated industry.
I'm curious, I enjoy the unglamorous work that makes a product reliable, and I learn best from the people who use it. I'm especially interested in how AI can reshape mortgage technology.
Open to conversations about product, analyst and mortgage technology roles.
If you'd like it shorter for a character limit, or in a different tone, I can trim it.
