Nicolas Omar Gonzalez Passerino

Hi! I'm Nicolás. I'm a front-end developer and technical leader with +8 years of experience currently working at Globant.

Let me recapitulate part of my life in this industry:
Back in the day, I started working as a computer technician for almost five years. During that time, I developed my soft skills by listening to my client's problems and my problem-solving skills by searching for effective and practical solutions.
There, I found that coding was my passion because I like understanding and trying new things. Collaborating with people from different backgrounds also helps me see alternative points of view.
Now, I'm working as a Web Developer on a project that involves using Typescript, React, SASS, Material UI, Jest, and the React Testing Library for a world-class client related to sports in an elite league.
My goal today is to expand my knowledge with new technologies, gain more experience to be a better technical leader and keep working to fulfill my purpose: living abroad and becoming an active member/speaker at conferences like JSConf. To reach that goal, I'm studying several courses on Udemy, building apps to practice old learned concepts, and reading a list of books related to software architecture, design patterns, leadership, emotional intelligence, and human life examples.

A fun fact about me: I want to be a barista because I love drinking and making coffee. Do you know why? Because good moments make a difference with a cup of coffee in one's hand. ☕
