Nicholas Watkins
@nicholaswatkins
I translate East African biocultural fieldwork into rigorous public writing, ethnography, and lectures.
What I'm looking for
I've conducted independent fieldwork with Hadza hunter-gatherers, Maasai pastoralists, and Mount Meru farming communities, producing a peer-reviewed paper under review at the American Journal of Biological Anthropology on oral health and dietary transition.
I write long-form essays and ethnographic work that bring evolutionary and medical anthropology to general readers, and have lectured at The Last Maasai ethnography museum for audiences ranging from Maasai elders to university students. Alongside field research, I teach English in Tanzania and bring senior-level client communication experience from executive search in aerospace and automotive.
